Bowbeer Designs Clay Club @ Leith Makers: Tuesday 28th May 6pm-8pm
A chance to come together with others who are interested in clay, and spend time working on small personal projects.
This is a bit different from our usual taught classes, in that it will be self-led, giving you the freedom to work on individual projects, with support if needed. We'll put on some nice music, grab a cuppa and have a good chat while we potter away.
Plain white or speckled stoneware clay will be provided. If you would like the pieces fired and clear glazed, a small firing fee will be added (usually around £5) and items will be ready roughly 8 weeks later. For more bespoke projects or ideas, please get in touch at bowbeerdesigns@gmail.com before booking your space.
You will be working in the space with up to 12 people, in the upstairs workshop of Leith Makers, a beautiful historic space within the heart of Leith. The session will last roughly 2 hours and pieces will be ready to collect or can be posted out to you 6-8 weeks later. Suitable for those with a basic knowledge of hand building, or as the next step on from the Introduction to hand building class.
Suitability: Beginner, 18+
