Originally from Hong Kong, Angel Kwan is now based in Edinburgh, where Scotland has become her second home. Moving from a fast-paced city to a place shaped by history and quiet beauty has deeply influenced both her perspective and creative practice.

Life in Scotland has inspired her to slow down, live in the moment, and find joy in everyday surroundings. Her work draws inspiration from Scotland's distinctive cityscapes, historic architecture, and cultural atmosphere.

​Through painting, she explores themes of belonging, gratitude, and gentle humour, blending elements of her cultural heritage with Scottish influences. Her work aims to offer a sense of optimism and humanity, inviting viewers to live in the moment.

Workshops & Events @ Leith Makers

We have a wonderful set of fine art workshops for summer, led by local artist Susan Mitchell.  Whether you are a beginner or looking to hone your technique, these small group classes offer a supportive environment to develop your art practice. 

We also are running a series of wine tastings, with local wine supremo, Kirsty of Bludge.

Applications are now closed for the Spring/Summer 2026 season.  We have a beautiful fresh range of locally crafted wares on sale, with our next stock rotation occurring in October. If you are interested in applying for a weekend pop-up, please email us.
