Classes & Events Terms & Conditions
Places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are secured once payment has been received. Bookings can be made on this website, or in person at Leith Makers.
Classes and Events at Leith Makers are small group events, and there is therefore limited availability, and likely to be in high demand. Having booked and paid for a workshop, class or other event ('event') with us, it is important that we know that you will turn up. Please give us as much notice as possible of any cancellation or change to your booking.
Refunds are entirely at the discretion of the person running the event. If you cancel one month or more before the event, we will offer you the choice of a voucher to the value of the booking, or a refund. If you cancel with less than a calendar month before the event, no refund is due, unless we manage to fill your booked place. Please note that all refunds will be made subject to a deduction of a transaction fee of £5. Refunds, where payable, will be processed within 5 Working Days of the event having taken place.
If we have to cancel the class for any reason, you will be offered a full refund, with no transaction fee deducted. You can also choose to have your booking transferred to another event of the same value, or receive a voucher for the full amount. We will try to give you as much notice of such cancellations as possible.
All cancellations should be made in writing to enquiries@leithmakers.co.uk
Please attend booked events promptly ready for them to start at the appointed time. Please turn any mobile devices off or to silent, as they should not be used during a class.
We may, from time to time, take photographs of your event in progress for use on our website and in other marketing. If you do not want to be in any such photographs, please let us know. By signing the registration form without informing us that you do not wish you/your child to be photographed or filmed, you give us permission to use images and footage in our publicity materials.
Please note that making art can often be messy, and may involve use of dangerous tools and equipment. Please read the details for your class carefully, and come appropriately attired. We are not responsible for damage to your personal possessions including clothing or other injury resulting from you failing to follow guidance or instructions prior to or during the event.
Please note that our events, unless otherwise stated, are typically held in our first floor gallery space. This is accessed by a staircase. There is no lift. If you have particular accessibility requirements, please discuss this with us prior to booking.
Thank you, and enjoy your event with us.
