Come along for a relaxing and creative evening exploring the beauty of nature through collage.
We'll begin with a short demonstration on how to create our own painted papers. Using a combination of textured and hand-painted papers, we'll then cut, tear and snip shapes to create beautiful birds and botanicals-inspired collage.
Collage is a wonderfully forgiving and playful way to create, so there's no need to have strong drawing skills or previous experience.
This workshop is a lovely opportunity to slow down, try something new and enjoy some creative time in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Whether you're a complete beginner or returning to art after a break, you'll be very welcome.
About your tutor: Susan Mitchell is a nature-inspired illustrator passionate about bringing stories to life through books, cards and giftware. Alongside her illustration work, she runs a variety of creative workshops for adults and children around Edinburgh.
Who it's for: Beginners and anyone looking to develop their confidence and skills in watercolour. Suitable for ages 14+
What to bring: Just bring yourself and a willingness to explore - we'll provide everything else!
