Drawing with Ink - Ink washes on toned paper
Indian ink is a wonderfully versatile medium, capable of creating everything from soft,
transparent washes to deep, velvety darks. Working on toned paper as a mid-tone
base, you will build up layers of ink with loose, expressive brushwork, finishing with
white highlights to create contrast.
This class is perfect if you’re looking to grow your artistic skills in a relaxed and
encouraging environment. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just getting back
into art making, you’re very welcome.
About your tutor:
Susan Mitchell is a nature-inspired illustrator passionate about bringing stories to life
through books, cards, and giftware. When not working on illustration projects, she runs
various creative workshops for adults and children around Edinburgh.
