Clay Pinch Handled Pot Workshop:: Tuesday 27 February 6pm-8pm

Learn how to make a small handled vase with Leith Makers resident potter Caitlin Bowbeer at our evening pottery workshop.
This step-by-step workshop will teach you some of the basics of hand building with clay, including working with pinch-pot techniques, joining clay pieces together and attaching handles.
You will be working in a small class size of up to 8 people, in the upstairs workshop space of Leith Makers, a beautiful historic space within the heart of Leith.
The class will last roughly 1.5-2 hours and you will leave your pots to be fired and glazed.
The pieces will be ready to collect or can be posted out to you 6-8 weeks later.
Suitability: Beginner, 18+
About your instructor: Caitlin Bowbeer has been making ceramics since 2016. Although trained in design and Illustration, her ceramic practice has been mainly self-taught and she has spent the last 8 years developing her skills in various areas of ceramics alongside working as a freelance illustrator.
Caitlin currently works from her studio in Leith Makers, creating functional ceramics pieces and selling at fairs and via stockists in UK and online as well as continuing her illustration practice.
Required: Please bring an apron and / or wear clothes you don't mind getting dusty.
What we provide: All materials, tools, glazing and firing. Tea and coffee will be provided.
