Music@Leith Makers - Arria Music and Friends: Sunday 30th June 7pm - 10pm
Join us for a night of contemporary, 'fresh as folk' songwriting, raw performing talent and and artistic networking over a glass of wine (BYOB) from acoustic to ground breaking electronica, this night promises a fabulous showcase of selected artists on the Scottish music scene at the moment.
About the performers
'A great songsmith' according to Celtic Connections, Arria Music reached number 11 on the BBC Folk Charts for the single "Siren Of Iris" . Her songs cross genres while maintaining a poetic bluesy spirit.
"Kate Bush of the modern folk scene" - Adam Holmes.
Jess Aslan, otherwise know as"Sly Digs", is a composer and performer working in computer assisted music and "featuring a combination of synths, drum machines, live interactive software and whatever else she feels like."- Rebecca Radical
Mickey Gerry is a singer-songwriter from Falkirk.
The innocent, lovable sound of The Kooks, sung with an effortless, dreamy tone like that of Chris Isack. With the poetic sensibility of Pete Docherty - there is both a romance and a grounding relevance to each story in his songs. A Folky, New York sound gives this Scottish lad an interesting blend and all round appeal to an audience
