Bookbinding workshop: make your own envelope pocket book: Friday 3rd May 6pm - 9pm
Join Edinburgh artist Isabell Buenz in creating unique envelope pocket books, perfect for storing small art work, secret messages, tickets and other treasures.
Make your own, personal keepsake/ storage book, using second hand book or magazine pages, tissue or other paper.
In this workshop Isabell will teach you how to make attractive and useful envelope books, perfect for you to keep or as a gift. This workshop offers a fun and relaxing experience for all abilities and anybody with an interest in upcycling and art.
Start by cutting and folding the paper of your choice, creating various envelopes for an accordion book with a twist. You will then learn to combine and bind your work into a truly unique book with storage for a personal collection and a choice of covers, closure types and decoration.
It is such a lovely thing to have a book you made yourself, it can be a treasured object in itself.
